専門は中大規模木造建築、特に都市における木造の構法と空間設計に関する実践的研究を行っている。構造とデザインの両立を追求しながら、木造による新しい都市建築のかたちを模索しており、代表作に芝浦工業大学豊洲キャンパスの木造研究施設「SITテクノプラザⅣ」ほか、「リブウッド大阪城」「みやむら動物病院」などがある。都市木造の可能性を現実の建築として立ち上げる数少ない教育者の一人であり、学生指導にも積極的に取り組んでいる。

Specializes in medium- to large-scale wooden architecture, with a particular focus on practical research into wooden construction methods and spatial design in urban environments. Pursuing the harmonious integration of structure and design, I explore new forms of urban architecture using wood, with notable works including the wooden research facility “SIT Techno Plaza IV” at Shibaura Institute of Technology’s Toyosu Campus, as well as “Ribwood Osaka Castle” and “Miyamura Animal Hospital.” As one of the few educators actively bringing the potential of urban wooden architecture to life through actual buildings, I am also deeply committed to mentoring students.
